Leaky Faucet
A dripping tap not only wastes water but also adds to your water bill. To fix it, start by turning off the water supply under the sink. Then, remove the tap handle and check for a worn-out washer. Replace the washer with a new one, reassemble the tap and turn the water supply back on. Voila! No more leaky faucet.
Creaky Door
Is your door making an annoying creaking sound every time you open or close it? A little lubrication can do the trick. Apply some lubricant to the door hinges and move the door back and forth to distribute it evenly. If the hinges are rusty or damaged, consider replacing them for smoother operation.
Cracked Tile
Cracked tiles can be unsightly and a tripping hazard. To fix a cracked tile, start by removing the grout around the damaged tile using a grout saw then carefully remove the cracked tile using a chisel. Apply tile adhesive to the back of a new tile and press it into place. Once the adhesive dries, reapply grout around the tile and your floor or wall will look good as new!
Clogged Drain
Dealing with a slow or clogged drain? Try using a plunger to dislodge the blockage. For stubborn clogs, a mixture of baking soda and vinegar can help break it down. Pour the mixture down the drain, let it sit for a while and then flush with hot water. You can also use a drain snake to remove any remaining debris.
Hole in the Wall
Accidentally made a hole in the wall? Don't worry; it's an easy fix. Start by cleaning the area around the hole and removing any loose debris. Then, apply filler compound to the hole using a putty knife and let it dry. Once dry, sand the area until it's smooth, and then touch up with paint to match the wall colour. Your wall will be good as new!
